形容詞子句

形容詞子句的句型

1. 先行詞為人，關係詞當主詞

I thanked the woman who (that) helped me.

2. 先行詞為非人，關係詞當主詞

The book which (that) is on the table is mine.

3. 先行詞為人，關係詞當受詞

The man who(that, whom, X) I saw was Mr. Jones.

4. 先行詞為非人，關係詞當受詞

The movie which (that, X) we saw last night wasn’t very good.

5. 關係詞作介係詞之受詞

She is the woman about whom I told you.

→ She is the woman who (that, X) I told you about.

The music to which we listened last night was good.

→ The music which (that, X)we listened to last night was good.

6. 關係詞的所有格

I know the man whose bicycle was stolen.

7. 關係詞只能用that的情況

This is the highest building that I have ever seen.

He is the only man that I can trust.

This is the every book that I want.

You can have everything that you want

8. 先行詞為地方

The building where he lives is very old.

9. 先行詞為時間

I’ll never forget the day when I met you.

10. 補述與限定

The professor who teaches Chemistry 101is an excellent lecturer. (限定)

Professor Wilson, who teaches Chemistry 101, is an excellent lecturer. (補述)

a. The girl who is sitting next to me is Maria.

b. Any one who wants to come with us is welcome.

c. The ideas which are presented in that book are good.

→ The ideas presented in that book are good.

d. The books that are on that shelf are mine.

→ The books on that shelf are mine

e. Ann is the woman who is responsible for the error.

→ Ann is the woman responsible for the error.

f. George Washington, who was the first president of the United States, was a wealthy colonist and a general in the army.

→ George Washington, the first president of the United States, was a wealthy colonist and a general in the army.
